Nothing vs. Greenprint Natural Agave Straws

Greenprint's recycled-plastic agave straw is mostly that: plastic. It blends agave fiber with post-consumer recycled plastic, and the result is still a plastic straw. Recycled plastic is better than virgin plastic, but it doesn't compost at home, it can shed microplastics as it fragments, and in the ocean or a backyard bin it can take years to break down.

Nothing straws are paper with a water-based coating, certified plastic-free by Flustix. No plastic, recycled or otherwise. Certified home compostable, so they break down in 180 days or less, no special facility required.
