I was a little hesitant because people are so attached to their paper cup, their sleeve and their plastic lid. But.... we are definitely winning our guests over with this new cup.

The hardest part about running a coffee shop is trying to limit the unstoppable waste we create via disposable cups… we love the SoFi cup because we can compost them along with all our food waste and coffee grounds with our community compost programs which service the local farms and gardens that circle back to our kitchen with local ingredients. We’re a coffee shop in Northern CA, and we just recently opened. We decided to go with SOFI cups, since we are an eco friendly and sustainable company. We were skeptical that our customers might not like the cups because they’re so different, but they absolutely love them! We have regulars that come here just for the cups. Customers tell us that the cups are durable, don’t leak or get soggy, and keep their drinks hot for at least an hour or two. We plan to continue ordering these and maybe even custom branding them. I made the decision in 2024 to switch from paper cups and plastic lids to SOFi. I’m very happy with that decision as it eliminates waste and also provides a superior experience at my pop ups.
